Glorify God and Enjoy Him Forever
We believe that human beings were created in the image of God for an intimate relationship with God. Therefore, we believe that the greatest gift God could give us is himself, restoring our relationship with him at great cost and granting us faith to believe that we are indeed accepted by him because of Jesus.

Historically True Jesus
We believe that the Bible faithfully and accurately records the story of the person and work of Jesus, the Christ. Therefore, we believe that we are not able to take the parts of Jesus’ teaching that we like while dismissing the parts we find uncomfortable.

Christianity is Relational
We believe that a life of faith is a life of relationships, growing in our love for God and the people around us. Jesus said, “You shall love the Lord your  God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets” (Matthew 22:37-40).

The Gospel is Life-Long
Each person needs to hear the good news of the glorious gospel of grace in Jesus Christ daily. Our thirst for the basic message of the gospel – that our brokenness is far worse than we think and that God’s love for us is far greater than we ever dared dream or imagine – is never quenched.

Progressive Sanctification
We believe that Jesus is always active in our lives teaching us, changing us, and conforming us to his image. So, we expect change to be a regular part of our lives individually and corporately as Jesus, through his Spirit, works in and through us for his glory.

Life of Repentance and Brokenness
Since we never attain perfection in this life, we seek to cultivate an appropriate posture of repentance and brokenness before our God and King, constantly dependent on his mercy and grace to us in Jesus Christ.

Worship is Gospel-Centered
The entire corporate worship service should tell the story of the gospel each week (i.e. not just the message). Each week our God graciously calls us to worship him, declares the forgiveness of all of our sins through the substitutionary death of Jesus, our Savior, teaches us from his word, the Bible, welcomes us to his table to strengthen and nourish our faith through our communion with the body and blood of the Lord Jesus, and sends us out with his blessing to live for him.

Kingdom is Already/Not Yet
Jesus announced the coming of his Kingdom during his earthly ministry, and that Kingdom continues to grow and expand, spreading redemption throughout the world like yeast through dough (Matthew 13). Our faith bears witness to the power and advance of this Kingdom as we acknowledge that the good news of this Kingdom has already crossed time, space, language, and culture to reach people like us at the end of the earth (Acts 1:8). This Kingdom will one day cover the whole earth as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14), including people from every nation, language, tribe, and people group.

For those familiar with the terminology of Christian Church History we affirm the “Historic Christian Faith” and the “Reformed Tradition.”
Christ Community Church is joined in love and trust to the congregations of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).
